January has come around again (ekk) and got us all thinking about new beginnings, time and how to make the most of it to reach our goals in life, fitness included.
In years gone by, January would see me buy the latest fitness DVD, make sure I had the newest fad diet book and a diary to make notes of my progress, but by 3 weeks in I’d look back a bit sadly that I hadn’t kept to my hardcore plans. The moral is, don’t go in hard all at once, fit it in where you can and make it feel less like hard work.

ELLESPORT X Core Collective VELOCITY: Our first class takeover in association with Be:Fit London
On Thursday 25th August, nearly 50 in-the-know London fitness enthusiasts came together for ELLESPORT’s first VELOCITY class takeover at the Core Collective Kensington Studio. The VELOCITY workout promised 45 minutes of high intensity athletic interval training that would help tone and condition the body, and boy it really lived up to that promise! For those lucky 50 who managed to grab a ticket before the event sold out, they were really put through their paces with the amazing Em Furey and Paddy Colman.

Unfortunately not the alcoholic kind! Drinking 8 glasses of water a day keeps you hydrated and your insides and outsides happy and healthy! Try taking a bottle with you everywhere with you to encourage your daily water intake and aim to drink it before a certain time of the day, then you can fill it up and get brownie points for exceeding your daily intake! You can always add fresh fruit to your water to zing it up a little. Try adding slices of lemon, lime and even orange for a fresh twist!

The importance of supportive gymwear
Loose fitting clothing is an accident waiting to happen when working out, particularly if your exercising with bikes or other equipment that your clothing could get caught in.
